Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a full-time Market Place Supervisor with Dining Service. This position will rotate shifts ranging from 6 A.M. to 12 A.M., and with weekend rotation.

This position is responsible for supervising the day to day operation of the Dining Service. Works as a part of the Dining Service Management Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Market Place, Kitchen, and Courtyard Cafe area.
Act as manager on duty accepting sole responsibility for all aspects of dining service operations in the absence of the Asstistant Director of Operations.
Assist in training, evaluation and discipline of regular and student employees with support of the Assistant Director of Operations and the Dining Service Office Manager.
Ensure that service, sanitation, and food products meet quality standards.
Act as communication link between Dining Service staff and dining customers and Asstistant Director Operations.
Participate in meetings with department staff and other supervisory staff. Work as part of the Dining Service Management Team and participate in decision-making for dining service operations.
Respond to and accept customer feedback/concerns as received.
Ability to fill in as Dining Service Supervisor in the Catering/Concessions areas as requested.
Coordinate schedules and emergency maintenance with service/production schedules and communicates such to Dining Service staff.
Contribute to the scheduling of full-time, part-time, and student staff.
Work with the Dining Service staff to accomplish departmental goals and obligations.
Maintain professional service standards as established by the Asstistant Director of Operations.
Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
Provide constructive feedback, coaching and training for all employees.
Understand personnel policies, procedures, and confidential information.
Prepare and perform performance reviews.
Act in a professional manner and provide leadership to all Dining Service staff.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
All other duties as assigned.
